Richard Eckersley set for QPR loan

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to send young defender Richard Eckersley out on loan to QPR for the whole of next season.

The highly-rated prospect made his Premier League debut last season and is seen as a future first-teamer at United.

Despite interest from several Premier League clubs, Fergie will let Eckersley, 20, go out to the Championship for experience and is in favour of the Hoops, where he will be guaranteed a regular game.
