Roberto Mancini has told his players to forget their 6-1 derby demolition of Manchester United if they want to end up champions.
City are still on a high following their Old Trafford heroics, which saw them open up a five-point lead over their local rivals at the top of the Premier League.
But Mancini has warned his players they must not believe their own hype and continue to produce the same effort they showed at United - starting against Wolves on Saturday.
Roberto Mancini emails City players and staff to warn against complacency after derby rout
"The derby was a great game for us but it is in the oast now," said Mancini.
"It is important we focus on Wolves.
"You have a problem if you think you can play at 50 per cent against teams like Wolves, rather than the 100 per cent we gave against United.
"If you don't give 100 per cent in every game, like we did against United, then you can have problems.
"If you don't play strongly against every team, you are taking a risk.
"At this moment we are in good form, everything is good, but it is important to keep our focus.
"If we want to be a top team for the nest 20 years, we cannot be happy just beating United in one game."
