Rod Stewart watches Celtic crash out of Europe after Champions League defeat to Aalborg

Celtic's Champions League dream was smashed to pieces as they threw away a match they dominated from start to finish in Denmark last night.
Gordon Strachan's side - with Rod Stewart in the crowd watching his beloved team - seemed to have finally got the monkey off their back when Barry Robson headed the second-half goal which put the Hoops on course for their first ever away victory in the tournament.
But Aalborg stole the win, which knocked Celtic out of not just the Champions League but the UEFA Cup, with two unlucky late strikes through Caca and a Gary Caldwell own goal.
