HAMBURG 1-0 MAN CITY
Joe Hart maintains he is not scared by Mark Hughes' desire to bring another goalkeeper to Manchester City.
With only Hart, 21, and another youngster Kasper Schmeichel at Eastlands, Hughes is keen to bring in an older head.
The new boss was even linked with a move for Brad Friedel, who has left his former club Blackburn for Aston Villa.
But Hart said: "We definitely need another keeper but I back myself and want to establish myself here at City."
Jonathan Pitroipa scored the winner.
CREWE 4-0 HULL CITY
Bryan Hughes believes Hull 's thumping at Crewe is a wake-up call as they get ready for their first season in the Premier League.
Phil Brown's team have been on a high all summer since their play-off win over Bristol City. But League One Crewe brought them back to earth with a bump.
Midfielder Hughes said: "Everyone was really down after the game. Our preseason had been going really well. Now this is a bit of a reality check."
MACCLESFIELD 1-0 BOLTON
Blerim Dzemaili, determined to prove he has a future at Bolton, played a full 90 minutes as a young side were sunk by Sean Hessey's 70th-minute strike.
Injury-hit since joining from FC Zurich 18 months ago, Dzemaili had played just 45 minutes before this weekend. New £10m striker Johan Elmander sat out with ankle damage, while Fabrice Muamba, a £5m signing from Birmimgham, was rested.
El-Hadji Diouf, set for a £2.5m move to Sunderland today, was a no-show.
