Birmingham City skipper Barry Ferguson launched a foul-mouthed tirade at Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce - and called him a fat b******.
Former Rovers star Ferguson turned on Allardyce when the chief took objection to a foul on two-goal hero David Dunn and yelled at the referee for some protection for his player.
Ferguson walked towards Allardyce and yelled “F*** off, you fat b******’ which was clearly heard by fans near to the pitch - and sparked a further reaction from the Rovers boss.
Allardyce was fuming that he had been sworn at and had words of his own with the fourth official about Ferguson’s comments, although no further action was taken.
Ferguson had a stormy time at Blackburn when he was bought and then sold back to Rangers. He had also taken some stick during the match from his old supporters.
But the joust with Allardyce was something else and Big Sam was far from amused about the incident and shocked that a rival captain should have a go at him like that.
