Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce wants old pal Ricky Sbragia to quit Sunderland and join the backroom team at Rovers.
Allardyce is losing coach Carl Robinson to Paul Ince's MK Dons and wants former Black Cats chief Sbragia to come in as his replacement.
Allardyce is also chasing Le Mans' £3m-rated centre-back Gregory Cerdan.
