Sami Hyypia dropped from Liverpool's Champions League squad

Sami Hyypia admits he faces an uncertain future at Liverpool after being axed from their Champions League squad.
Hyypia was stunned at hearing Rafa Benitez had made him the fall guy for UEFA's new ruling that eight players in every 25-man squad must be home grown.
Even though Liverpool rejected a £2.5million offer from Stoke for Hyypia last month, the Finnish defender has been left wondering if he is still part of Benitez's plans.
Hyypia, 34, is miffed that Benitez gave him the bad news after the transfer window closed, knowing he could not push for a move.
"The decision to leave me out of the squad is a big disappointment," he said. "I understand it's partly because of the UEFA regulations but, despite that, the news still came as a shock. I was told after the transfer window had closed.
"The club turned down offers for me so perhaps that means I am still part of the plans for this season."
Meanwhile Alvaro Arbeloa insists he is settled and is not after a move back to Spain.
