Schaaf promises more of the same

Werder Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf insists his team will take their final two Europa League group matches seriously despite securing qualification to the last 32 with a 2-0 victory over Austria Vienna on Thursday night.
The win ensured Bremen's current unbeaten run now stands at three months and Schaaf is not prepared to see his side take their foot of the pedal at this stage.
"Of course I am happy with reaching the next round," he told ran.de. "It is a great feeling not to have lost a game for three whole months. But the last two (group) games are not going to be friendly matches for us. We want to prove ourselves there too, and offer something to our fans."
While happy with the win, Schaaf conceded he would have liked to have seen a better overall display by his side.
"It was not the best game we have played recently," he continued "I was not happy with the way we let our opponents have so many chances.
"We really struggled and there were a few things I was not happy with, but fortunately we have a goalkeeper in Tim Wiese who kept us in the game."
