Scott Dann insists he was right to snub Wolves for Birmingham

Birmingham star Scott Dann insists he made the right decision snubbing Wolves in the summer to move to St Andrews.
Brum and Wolves both agreed a £3.5million fee with Championship Coventry for Dann following their respective promotions.
But the talented young centre-back opted to step up into the Premier League with City, who offered better personal terms.
And with Birmingham 13th and Wolves second from bottom ahead of tomorrow’s derby between the clubs at Molineux, Dann has no regrets.
“It just felt right,” said Dann,22, who has formed a good partnership with Roger Johnson.
“I didn’t know where I was going until one or two days before I did sign for Birmingham.
“In the end I had a decision to make. I wanted to play in the Premier League and I just got one of those feelings about Birmingham.
“Nothing against Wolves - they are a very good club too.
“But after speaking to the manager here several times, I just thought: ’yes, I want to go there’.
“Alex McLeish seemed very determined to get me and being wanted like that helps.
“I spoke to Mick McCarthy as well as Alex McLeish, but it wasn’t me favouring one of them over the other.
“It was nothing to do with anything like that - they’re both top managers.
“My instinct told me that Birmingham was the place to go and, of course, I’ve been very happy with that choice.”
Wolves are reeling after successive heavy defeats to Arsenal and Chelsea and McLeish wants to add to the home club’s woes tomorrow.
McLeish said: “Wolves will be seeing it as a must-win at the weekend.
“They will come at us, I’m sure, like a runaway train and we have to be ready.”
An away victory would stretch the gap between the sides to eight points.
“That would be great and strike a blow as far as Wolves are concerned,” added McLeish.
