Sheffield United planning loan bid for Manchester City striker

David Ball of Manchester City holds off a challenge from Benjamin Gordon of Chelsea

Manchester City striker David Ball is wanted on loan by injury-hit Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell.

Ball has caught the eye in the City second team and the Blades fancy taking him for some first-team experience at Championship level.

Cardiff City also like the look of home-grown Ball and both clubs have asked to be kept informed if he is allowed to leave.
