Megson's unfinished business at Owls – as David Jones set to replace him

Gary Megson insisted he had “unfinished business” at Sheffield Wednesday – as David Jones was set to be named as new boss.
The appointment of former Cardiff City chief Jones is expected to be confirmed today just two days after Megson’s dismissal.
The 52-year-old was booted out by chairman Milan Mandaric despite leading the Owls to within five points of the promotion spots.
Megson has already called in the League Managers’ Association to sort out the terms of his sacking but last night refused to rule out a second spell in the managers’ hot seat at Hillsborough.
He said: “I still think I’ve got a job to do and I would love to go back there when the current regime have left.
“I have unfinished business and am just gutted that I wasn’t allowed to finish what we started.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to play for and manage the club I supported as a boy. I’ll always be a Wednesday fan.
“I took over when the club was on its backside and whoever takes over from me has a really good chance of promotion.”
