Sir Alex Ferguson: "Ronaldo is staying at Manchester United"

Sir Alex Ferguson has publicly declared that Cristiano Ronaldo will still be a Manchester United player next season.

Speaking at a press conference in South Africa, where Manchester United are currently on a pre-season tour, Ferguson confirmed that he'd had a face to face crisis meeting with Ronaldo in Portugal last week.

"The meeting went well. I think we both put across our points of view - where we stand and where the player stands," he said.

"I can say he'll be a Manchester United player next season.

"That's our stance, he won't be sold."
