Sir Alex Ferguson has challenged his Manchester United players to create a double slice of history - with a fourth straight title and a record 19th in all.
United are locked with Liverpool on 18 titles and a fourth successive Premier League triumph this season would see them overhaul their arch rivals to post a record total.
No English team has ever won four championships on the bounce and Fergie admitted the chance to be the first was driving him and his players on to title glory.
"The record we're chasing is four titles in a row," said Fergie. "That would be fantastic. And if we get the 19th it would be the most in the history of the league.
"It doesn’t matter who we beat for that, it's a record. And a record is a record and we've got a really good chance."
And Fergie claimed his United players - who face Fulham tomorrow - have the experience and know-how to come out on top in their three-way battle with Chelsea and Arsenal.
"For me the best indication of our chances was last Saturday at Wolves, when we won 1-0," said Fergie.
"We've had those kind of games over the years where the players are prepared to battle it out against tough opposition on a very lively surface and were determined not to lose it.
"That's a good indication for me. It wasn't the kind of game you enjoy because was it a battle, but I enjoyed it because of our performance.
"We stood up the and the players wanted to win it because of the importance of the game. And that's the way it's going to be until the end of the season.
"Throughout the years when we've had these 1-0 wins, they've always been significant results for us in terms of the championship."
