Fergie hits out at 'inconsistent' FA over lack of Gerrard charge (video)

Alex Ferguson has slammed the Football Association as 'dysfunctional' for failing to charge Liverpool captain with improper conduct following his clash with referee Andre Mariner. 

Gerrard was seen to aim a 'V' sign in Mariner's direction during Liverpool's 1-0 defeat at Wigan Athletic last week, and Ferguson stoked the fires before his side's meeting with Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday by claiming that he didn't expect any further action to be taken against the player.
