Spurs in fight to net Samuel Eto'o

Tottenham could be pipped by Inter Milan to the signing of Samuel Eto'o after the Italians launched a £32million bid to land the striker.

Spurs have turned to Eto'o, 27, after admitting defeat in their quest to keep Dimitar Berbatov at White Hart Lane.

But boss Juande Ramos may struggle to see off the threat from Inter, especially as the Serie A club can offer the Barcelona forward Champions League football next season.

Inter reckon Eto'o - who has 47 caps for Cameroon - will form a deadly partnership with Zlatan Ibrahimovic as chairman Massimo Moratti eyes an all-out assault on the European crown.
