Spurs pull out of Stephen Bywater deal at the last minute

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has pulled the plug on signing keeper Stephen Bywater from Derby - despite agreeing a £250,000 deal.

The shock transfer was set to go through, with Bywater travelling to London, when the call came through that Spurs had second thoughts.

Now Bywater will go back to the Rams while Ramos is closing in on Real Zaragoza keeper Cesar Sanchez.
