Hunt: Maybe Wolves should try getting players sent off too

Stephen Hunt has risked an FA rap after claiming Wolves must start getting rival players sent off.
Midfielder Hunt says it is time Wolves turned the tables – after seeing team-mate Nenad Milijas red-carded at Arsenal, with Gunners players crowding referee Stuart Attwell, encouraging him to take drastic action.
Hunt’s comments are likely to land him in hot water with the Football Association.
The Irishman said: “Everyone does it now. We should be maybe better at it than any other team. Every team does it, so we don’t do it and get punished. Maybe we should start doing it.”
The remarkable outburst came after Wolves’ battling point at the Emirates as Hunt claimed Arsene Wenger’s players had been “clever” to get Milijas sent off by Attwell following a tackle on Mikel Arteta.
He said: “Players are clever, the reaction sometimes does not help the referee.”
Hunt also risked annoying the game’s rulers further by claiming their “greed” has sold England and Ireland’s Euro 2012 chances down the river.
Wolves were incensed this month when Jonathan Woodgate was not sent off in a 2-1 defeat at Molineux after the Stoke defender conceded a penalty, having already been booked.
Hunt added: “We have been done in the past – like with Woodgate, we should have been surrounding the ref to get him sent off.
“Generally I think the Milijas red card was harsh.it was more with one leg, then the other popped up the middle.
“Maybe even Alex Song’s tackle on me could have been a red, so it is one of those things.”
