Stern John moves to Crystal Palace

Trinidad and Tobago international Stern John has signed a one-year contract with Crystal Palace, the Coca-Cola Championship side have confirmed.
The 32-year-old striker, who has had spells at Nottingham Forest, Birmingham, Coventry, Derby, Sunderland and Bristol City, agreed terms after leaving Southampton earlier this week.
"I'm delighted to have signed for Crystal Palace," John told the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation's official website, www.ttffonline.com .
"It's a new challenge for me and one that I'm definitely looking forward to."
John has netted 69 goals in 109 appearances for the Soca Warriors and played in all three group games at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
