Tony Pulis is ready to offer £4million for Newcastle striker Andy Carroll and hand him a Premier League return.
Stoke boss Pulis has targeted a move for Carroll, 20, in the New Year as he prepares to bring in more firepower.
England under-21 star Carroll is facing an uncertain future on Tyneside after being arrested twice in 15 months.
But Pulis wants the giant front man to power up his Potters and is lining up a bid next month.
