Thomas Sorensen is set to boost FA Cup semi-finalists Stoke by signing a new contract this week.
The Denmark international is negotiating over a two-year extension to his current deal - even though he has been Stoke's No. 2 goalkeeper behind Asmir Begovic for most of the season.
Sorensen has, however, been included for all the FA Cup games and impressed in Sunday's historic victory over West Ham.
"Thomas will play at Wembley against Bolton and he has been a great professional for us this season," said Stoke manager Tony Pulis. "He's obviously disappointed he's not playing in the league but having him on the bench has brought the best out of Asmir.
"We've been talking for a while over the contract and we would expect it to be sorted out before Saturday."
The 34-year-old, whose current deal runs out this summer, has not started a Premier League game for Stoke since the home defeat to Manchester United in October.
