Stoke striker Richard Cresswell has been promised talks on a permanent £500,000 switch to Sheffield United when he recovers from a rib injury.
The hitman, 32, is on loan at Bramall Lane but has not played since damaging his ribs in early October.
But Blades chief Kevin Blackwell said: “We have spoken with Cressy but not since then. He’s been working too hard to try and get fit.
“When Cressy is okay then I’m sure we’ll sit down and talk again to see what we can do.”
