Sunderland offer contract to former West Ham defender

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has offered former West Ham captain Lucas Neill a contract at the Stadium of Light.

Ex-Blackburn full back Neill, 31, is a free agent after failing to agree a new deal at Upton Park.
