Sunderland snap up Cork starlet David Meyler

Sunderland have confirmed the signing of teenage midfielder David Meyler from Cork City on a three-year deal.

Black Cats boss Roy Keane could hand him his debut against Cobh Ramblers in his home country on Monday.

Meyler follows ex-Cork team-mate Roy O'Donovan to the Stadium of Light.
