Sven Goran Eriksson last night admitted he will be sacked if Mexico lose to Costa Rica on Saturday - freeing him for a return to the Premier League.
Eriksson, who is still on Portsmouth's wish-list, has led the Mexicans to five defeats in 11 games. He said: "I know perfectly well that it is not possible for me to lose this game. "We must win or life will be very difficult for me. I will probably be out of work."
