Sven Goran Eriksson is joining top Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal on a £1.2million one-year deal - after missing out on a job in England.
The former national coach has agreed to the contract with Riyadh-based Al Hilal and will take over from Belgian Eric Gerets when he leaves in the near future.
Eriksson accepted the terms on offer as he looks to take on a new challenge after leaving Ivory Coast - where he coached in the World Cup - and being overlooked by Aston Villa.
The Swede will be back in work as soon as Gerets's team is knocked out of the Asian Champions League. He is staying on to see that run through before quitting to coach Morocco.
Eriksson had a spell at Notts County last season and wanted a top job in England, but the offers did not come in and now he taking the lucrative but short-term option in Saudi.
