Swansea have made a sensational swoop for French World Cup winner Sidney Govou.
Panathinaikos striker Govou, 31, revealed he has had offers from a number of clubs in France and the Premier League.
Swans boss Brendan Rodgers wants to make the 2006 World Cup star his second big-name signing of the summer after landing Spain midfielder Marcos Senna.
Govou said: “I have another year of my contract with Panathinaikos, but I think I would have no problem getting out of it.
“It is true that a French club has approached me, but there are many things to discuss and I also have an offer from a Premier League club.
“I’ve always wanted to play in the Premier League and still think it could give a good performance. In these coming days, I will make a decision.”
Govou, who spent 11 years at Lyon, has made 49 appearances for France and scored 10 goals.
