Manchester City’s David Silva is already cited as one of the Premier League’s players of the season.
He’s in a battle with Arsenal’s Robin van Persie to be Footballer of the Year.
But just how important is the Spain star to City’s title challenge?
Silva has the most assists of any City player this season. He’s had a hand in 14 of their goals this season.
He has also been spreading the ball all over the park. According to the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index he has completed the most passes in the opposition half this season, completing 933 in total.
Silva – who was battling to shake off a worrying ankle injury – was rested for last week’s win over Bolton, but is set to return at Swansea today.
Joe Allen is the Welsh club’s pass master, completing 549 passes – the most by a Swans’ player this season.
Mario Balotelli scored his 11th goal this season against Bolton. The Italian has converted 32 per cent of his 34 shots on goal. But that record is beaten by Swans striker Danny Graham. He’s converted 29 strikes into 10 goals, a conversion rate of 34 per cent.
