Carlo Ancelotti today hailed Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba as the best two strikers on the planet ahead of Sunday's Stamford Bridge shoot-out with Liverpool.
Drogba returns to the Chelsea line-up after missing the midweek Champions League squeak past APOEL Nicosia through suspension, while Torres is the Premier League top scorer with eight goals so far.
And Ancelotti, under pressure in the wake of last week's defeat at Wigan and the poor display in Cyprus, believes the game with showcase the two most impressive predators in world football.
Ancelotti said: "Now, at this moment, they're the best strikers in the world.
"I'm curious about how they will both play on Sunday. For the fans, it's very nice to see these two strikers playing. It depends on the play of the team, for sure. Strikers depend upon their team-mates and how the team plays for them."
Ancelotti's team did not play well for him in Cyprus, as he conceded.
Owner Roman Abramovich was a surprise visitor to the club's Cobham training headquarters yesterday although Ancelotti insisted: 'Yes, I spoke with Roman. That's normal. He watched training and said hello to the players.
"I didn't ask him if he was worried. I think he is happy because his team is in the top of the table, and top of their Champions League group.
"In the last two games, we didn't play well. But when it's not possible to play well, it's important to win the game.
"We won in Cyprus without playing well, but sometimes it happens that a team doesn't play good football.
"Now we've got a chance to prepare for this important game against Liverpool, and there is a good atmosphere.
"Normally, when things aren't good, you have to look, analyse, and we've done that. We have resolved the problem. It's normal in football. This is my work."
