Tottenham 2-2 Sporting Lisbon: The Daily Mirror pre-season match report

Robbie Keane scored one and made another as Tottenham continued their pre-season build-up with a draw against Sporting Lisbon.
Keane, whose Spurs future is uncertain following his return after a six-month loan spell at Celtic, produced an inspired display as Harry Redknapp's side completed their US trip.
Having churlishly walked out on two interviews when he was quizzed on his future after Tottenham's game against the New York Red Bulls on Thursday, Keane provided the right response with his man-of-the-match display.
Keane beat the offside trap in the 24th minute and scored following a superb delivery from Nico Kranjcar. But Sporting levelled within 30 seconds, Matias scoring with a diving header from Diogo Salomao's exquisite cross.
Gareth Bale missed a sitter just before the break and within three minutes of the restart, substitute goalkeeper David Button - on at half-time for Carlo Cudicini - conceded a soft goal, Jaime Valdes beating him.
But with 20 minutes left, Tottenham youngster Jon Obika, making his senior debut, equalised for Spurs, with Keane providing the assist. The goal meant Spus finished as joint winners of the Barclays New York Challenge before heading home to continue their pre-season campaign.
