Harry Redknapp thinks that Tottenham can win the Premier League title this year if they maintain their impressive recent form.
The Spurs boss returned to the touchline at White Hart Lane last night only 19 days after heart surgery.
Asked if Spurs can win the league, he replied: "Yeah, it is a possibility. It is not impossible.
"Manchester City are not on a different planet to anyone else. They are not going to go through the season unbeaten.
"When I came here, I said we wanted to get in the Champions League and we did that. So it is not impossible.
"If you believe in yourself and keep winning football matches it is possible.
"Last season, Manchester United won it because everyone else kept falling over themselves."
Emmanuel Adebayor scored twice in the first half against a dire Villa, but it was Luka Modric who had Redknapp purring.
"Luka was fantastic and instrumental," he said. "He keeps getting hold of the ball and him and Scott Parker have been outstanding in the middle of the park.
"I love the way Luka plays football. He is absolutely top class. Even when he had all the problems in the summer he got his head down.
"He came in and trained hard every day and is a top professional."
Redknapp is confident Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will tie Modric down to a new contract soon, after Chelsea bid for him this summer and the star requested a move.
He said: "We have to keep Luka here. You don't get too many Luka Modrics come along.
"I am sure the chairman will look after him and hopefully get a contract sorted out with him."
