Tottenham set to sell Keane to Sunderland and keep Pavlyuchenko

Spurs last night categorically told Birmingham that Roman Pavlyuchenko is not for sale and they plan to sell Robbie Keane to Sunderland.
Brum had their latest bid of £10million for Russian Pavlyuchenko, 28, rejected by the White Hart Lane club last night.
But Tottenham are willing to flog striker Keane to the Black Cats after bringing in Eidur Gudjohnsen on loan.
And it will complete a brief second stint at Spurs for Keane, 29, who only returned from Liverpool a year ago.
Spurs’ stance has dismayed Birmingham and boss Alex McLeish immediately bid £8m for Liverpool’s Ryan Babel.
But the Anfield club want £9m for the Dutchman which McLeish feels is too much.
And in a frustrating day for the St Andrews club, Brum also failed to wrap up a deal for Aruna Dindane.
Brum wanted the 30-year-old forward on loan from Lens with a view to a permanent summer transfer.
But Dindane’s French club insist they will only accept a cash offer of £4.5m.
City now face the window closing without bringing in a new striker.
McLeish has called rookie teenage hitman Jake Jervis,18, into the squad for today’s home game with Tottenham.
