Tottenham to to axe eight players

Tottenham's need to trim their first team squad has been reflected in a circular sent to other clubs last week.

Eight players have been made available for either permanent transfers or loans as the need to cut the wage bill has become evident.

Among those on the list are South Korean international defender Young-Po Lee, Portuguese defender Pedro Rocha and Canadian Paul Staltieri.

Manager Juande Ramos has decided that all eight are surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane.
