Nigel Reo-Coker may quit the Premier League when his Aston Villa deal expires.
The midfielder arrived from West Ham in 2007 for £7.5million but can go for free this summer after failing to agree new terms.
The 26-year-old can talk to foreign clubs, with Valencia, Seville, Roma, Juventus and Napoli all interested.
His agent Tony Finnigan said: “We are putting the contract talks on hold until the end of the season.
“In the meantime, as Nigel is a Bosman, there’s a lot of foreign clubs interested.”
