Roberto Mancini has revealed Manchester City are targeting an awesome £80million worth of striking firepower in Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli.
Only last summer City shelled out around £75million on Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez, Craig Bellamy and Roque Santa Cruz.

Now they could shatter the £100million mark on ANOTHER three frontmen after Spurs boss Harry Redknapp claimed the Eastlands outfit also want Liverpool’s £50million-rated Fernando Torres.
Redknapp said yesterday: “They’re in for Torres. If they end up getting him and one or two others then they can do anything.
“It’s going to make it more difficult. “
Mancini confirmed moneybags City are in for Wolfsburg striker Dzeko, for whom the German outfit want a staggering £50million.
The Italian admitted City are rivalling Juventus for the signature of the powerful Bosnian marksman and said: “Certainly Dzeko is more than just an interest.”
Mancini has also conceded he is tracking troubled 19-year-old Balotelli, insisting he had a good relationship with the striker when he managed the San Siro club.
Jose Mourinho dropped Balotelli on a string of occasions because of his poor attitude as Inter stormed to a sensational Italian Cup, Serie A and Champions League treble.
Balotelli also fell foul of the Inter fans and was reported to have come to blows with his team-mates who accused him of a lack of respect last season.
But Mancini, backed by City’s billionaire owners, has insisted he will be in the thick of any bidding war for the striker. He said: “We are always interested in good players. If Inter decide to sell [Balotelli], we will be there.
“I have no problems. The most important thing is that they are good, so that they go on the pitch and play well.”
The acquisition of even two of the three players with whom City are being linked would see their spending rocket through the unprecedented levels it has already reached by Premier League standards.
It would also throw into doubt the futures of Bellamy, 31 next week, although Redknapp is understood to be keen on signing the Welshman.
It was only in January last year that Bellamy - who scored 13 goals in total last season - moved to City from West Ham for £14million.
Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz is another striker facing an uncertain future at Eastlands as the club look to revamp their striking options.
Italian club Palermo are one of several monitoring the situation of the 28-year-old, who failed to score in 19 appearances last season.
City have already signalled their intention to fight their way into the Premier League’s top four - and the title race - by snapping up £24million Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure and £34.1million Valencia winger David Silva.
Both players have given up the chance to play Champions League football with their clubs and their arrivals will see a string of names offloaded.
