Mourinho chases £41m star

After completing the signing of Angel de Maria from Benfica last week, Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has set his sights on his next big money coup.
According to reports in Spain, Mourinho wants to add Bayern Munich's Bastian Schweinsteiger to his already swelling squad in a deal believed to be around £41m.
With both red and blue halves of Manchester being interested in the influential midfielder along with Bayern's reluctance to let their star man go, the price for Schweinsteiger is expected to inflate.
The German international has made over 200 appearances for Bayern and has collected 78 caps playing both in the centre of midfield and on the right.
The move could see the end of Real's persuit of Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard as the Blancos believe that the pacy midfielder would be better value for money at the age of 25.
Real are also expected to step up their chase for Athletic Bilbao's Javi Martínez in the next few weeks.
