Birmingham give up chase for Spurs star

Alex McLeish admits Birmingham’s move for Roman Pavlyuchenko has been shelved due to the striker’s red-hot form.
City had a bid of £10million for the Spurs star rejected in January.
The Russia strike has since scored eight goals in seven games and McLeish said: “His price will have gone up. I’ve given him too much confidence by saying I wanted him!”
