Blackburn's Formica deal still on table

Blackburn boss Steve Kean is pushing through a £3million swoop for Argentinian star Mauro Formica, despite a snag with the player’s Italian passport.
Kean is beating French giants Monaco to the signature of the attacker, who is leaving Newell’s Old Boys and has flown in for talks and a medical.
However, Rovers have discovered that Formica’s passport needs to be renewed and are trying to race through the paperwork before the window shuts on Monday.
Formica would not get a work permit because of his lack of international caps, so Rovers may have to set up the deal and wait for the passport before being able to play him.
