Crystal Palace are close to caving in to allow Nathaniel Clyne to leave after he refused to sign a new deal.
Palace have rejected several bids from Premier League Birmingham for the England Under-19 right-back.
New Eagles boss George Burley has held talks with Clyne, 19, and his mother to convince the starlet to stay.
But Clyne has told the Selhurst Park club he still wants to leave and is now refusing to sign a new contract.
Brum hope to finally get their man with a down payment of £1.5million plus add-ons rising to over £2m.
City also want Fulham left-back Paul Konchesky, 29, to boost their squad.
