David James agrees to sign for Bristol City - Exclusive

David James has turned down approaches from Celtic and Sunderland to join Championship side Bristol City.
The England goalkeeper will sign for Steve Coppell's side tomorrow after agreeing a one year's deal with, crucially, an option for a further year - better terms than he was being offered elsewhere.
It is thought that James, who kept goal in three of England's matches at the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa, was also tempted by the prospect of working with City boss Steve Coppell.
The 40 year-old eventually wants to move into a coaching role and believes Coppell will help him do so.
James is expected to make his debut a week today in the Championship curtain-raiser against Millwall.
