Jimmy Bullard has been told by Hull boss Nigel Pearson that he has no future at the club.
Bullard is back at the KC Stadium after his proposed loan move to Celtic fell through with the Tigers claiming he was demanding £75,000-a-week in wages to move north.
Debt-ridden Hull are determined to offload the midfielder, who is their top earner on £45,000-a-week, and Pearson claims it would be in everyone's best interests if he left.
"Jimmy has been up to Celtic and was unable to secure that move," said the Hull manager. "We will review it in a couple of weeks' time as we get close to the end of the window.
"It's pretty obvious for both ourselves and Jimmy that it would be a positive thing for him to find another club for financial reasons. That's our situation."
