Blackpool miss out on former Blackburn saviour

Blackpool have failed in a bid to land Ipswich’s former England Under-21 striker Jon Stead.

Tangerines chief Ian Holloway had agreed a fee with Ipswich counterpart Roy Keane of £250,000.

But Stead could not agree terms at Bloomfield Road.
