Rovers looking to rescue Fulham veteran

Blackburn are set to sign Jonathan Greening from Fulham on a season-long loan.

Greening, 31, is not in new Fulham boss Mark Hughes’ plans and Rovers have been cleared to speak to him. Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce wants more players for his small squad and Greening’s versatility would help.

The former Manchester United starlet impressed while at West Bromwich, but the Fulham move has not worked out.
