Juventus offer Gallas Arsenal escape route

Italian giants Juventus have come in for Arsenal outcast William Gallas.
French defender Gallas, who turns 33 in August, has been offered a two-year contract by Juve after failing to reach agreement on a deal with Arsenal.
Gallas will be released by Arsenal after his contract expires on June 30 along with fellow Frenchman Mikael Silvestre.
Arsenal refused to break their club policy on players over 30 and give Gallas anything more than a one year contract and that has alerted Paris Sanit Germain, Roma and now Juventus who are leading the chase.
But it does leave Arsenal desperately short of defensive cover with Thomas Vermaelen and Johan Djourou as the club's senior defenders while Sol Campbell, 35, has been offered a new one-year deal. But Campbell does have other offers, including Celtic.
They are tracking Lorient defender Laurent Koscielny but the French club's £8m price tag has put off Arsenal.
They also have Everton's Phil Jagielka on their hit-list while they are trying to sign midfielder Joe Cole but face competition from Spurs, Manchester City and Manchester United.
