Roberto Mancini took his spending to £59million with Yaya Toure – and now wants Lazio’s Aleksandar Kolarov.
The Manchester City boss is far from finished in the transfer market after landing Toure for £24m and is weighing up a move for the £15m-rated Kolarov.
City have denied claims from Italy they have made an offer for the Serbia World Cup defender, but he is on Mancini’s hit-list of full-back targets along with Benfica’s David Luiz.
Mancini wants at least three more signings and, as well as a full-back, he is also after England midfielder James Milner and a striker. Toure’s switch to City went through yesterday, with the Ivory Coast midfielder agreeing a five-year contract worth £100,000-a-week.
Toure, 27, will play alongside his big brother and City captain Kolo.
“This is a dream come true,” he said.
“I have always wanted to play for the same club as my brother.”
