French side Marseille are ready to offer Charles N’Zogbia a way out of his Wigan nightmare.
The French winger has fallen out with boss Roberto Martinez and was dropped for Saturday’s 4-0 DW Stadium hammering by Premier League new boys Blackpool.
N’Zogbia held talks with Latics owner Dave Whelan on Monday night and was told he could quit the club.
French champions Marseille are keen to offer him a chance to return to his home country and are ready to negotiate a fee.
The French club recently sold striker Mamadou Niang to Fenerbahce and need to boost their attacking options.
Marseille boss Didier Deschamps wants to field a three-man forward line and is keen to use N’Zogbia as a wide player.
But he faces competition from Sunderland and Birmingham for the 24-year-old’s signature.
