Furious Mido is set to down tools in a one-man protest that could cost Middlesbrough £2million.
The striker is angry Boro are holding out for a £1m fee over his proposed move to Ajax, which is putting the transfer in doubt. The Teessiders paid Tottenham £6m for him in 2007.
Ajax boss Martin Jol is ready to pursue other targets, cutting off Mido’s escape route from his nightmare spell at the Riverside.
The £40,000-a-week forward is ready to take revenge by seeing out the last 12 months of his contract – even though there is no chance of forcing his way into Gordon Strachan’s plans.
