Sunderland loan for City defender

Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha is set for a season-long loan at Sunderland after being told would not figure in Roberto Mancini's 25.
The 23-year-old utility defender impressed in spells last season under Mancini and Mark Hughes but could not cement a regular place in the side and has fallen even further behind in the pecking order after the big-money arrival of Jerome Boateng from Hamburg.
Onouha can also play right back but Micah Richards' improved form meant he was unlikely to unseat his fellow former Under-21 international or Pablo Zabaleta.
He is now likely to partner fellow new boy Titus Bramble in the heart of Steve Bruce's defence.
