Toon want Clever Man Utd starlet

Newcastle boss Chris Hughton is ready to sign Manchester United’s starlet Tom Cleverley on a season-long loan today.

The midfielder has just signed a new deal at Old Trafford but will be sent out for first-team experience, with the Geordies close to an agreement.

Meanwhile, Toon have signed utility man James Perch, 24, from Nottingham Forest.
