Nigerian international John Utaka will choose between Sunderland, Bolton and Fulham after being told he can leave troubled Portsmouth in a cut-price move.
Portsmouth paid Rennes £7m for Utaka, 28, three years ago but he managed only seven Premier League goals.
Utaka claims to have had offers also from Cologne and Bayer Leverkusen but wants to stay in England.
Utaka said: “My manager is looking into the offers before him. We have had Sunderland, Fulham and Bolton and some clubs in Germany, Everything is in the air.
”I would like to stay in the Premier League. It is quick, aggressive and direct and there are loads of goals every week. And, yes, the money in England is also good."
Relegated Portsmouth, still in administration, are ready to offload Utaka’s £35,000 a week wages for as little as £1m.
