Hume's new home at Preston?

Preston boss Darren Ferguson is planning talks with Barnsley in a bid to land striker Iain Hume on a permanent deal in January.

Hume is currently on a three-month loan at North End and his arrival has sparked a run of seven points in the three games he has started.

The Canadian striker has hit two goals and played a crucial part in the stunning 6-4 win at Leeds last month.
